Canberra Tour

The AIAA University of Sydney Student Branch (USSB) is again hosting its biennial Canberra Tour and we are invited! Join us for a weekend away and visit some of the key aerospace facilities in Canberra. This year we are pleased to have confirmed the following exclusive tours:

  • A behind the scenes tour of NASA's Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex
  • A visit to the Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre at Mt Stromlo
  • Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) presentation and tour

More site visits to be announced soon! The Canberra trip will give you an insight into the current state of research and industry in Australia and the opportunity to socialise and network with AIAA student and professional members. There are a strictly limited number of tickets available, so don't miss out!


  • Early bird tickets: $150 (limited numbers available)
  • Standard tickets: $170

The ticket price includes accommodation, transport to Canberra, breakfast and lunches. we will be departing from the University of Sydney Aeronautical Building at approximately 5pm on the Friday (4th August, end of week 2 for UNSW), and returning to Sydney on the Sunday (8th August).
